Dunlop has been named as Official Tyre Partner to the Amateur Motor Cycle Association (AMCA).
The multi-year deal will see Dunlop’s involvement with the governing body grow to support off-road riders with all levels of experience.
As part of the agreement, Dunlop will offer a fitting service at selected rounds of the 2015 MX racing season as well as offering tyre technical information on a monthly basis via the organisation’s newsletter to its members.
Suzanne Potts, General Manager of the AMCA, said: “We’re really pleased to have Dunlop on board as an official partner of the AMCA. Dunlop are at the forefront of off road tyre development and it’s this knowledge that will help us offer even more benefits to our members.”
The AMCA is one of the oldest off-road motorcycle governing bodies in the world. Established in 1932 in the West Midlands it has played a key role in the growth and promotion of the sport in this country. Today it has over 200 affiliated clubs that cover most of the United Kingdom with approximately half of these motocross specific and the remainder split across several other off-road sporting ‘codes’ including trials, scrambles, supermoto, enduro, moto-duro and beach racing.
To launch the partnership, Café Dunlop will be at the AMCA Skegness Beach Race on 8th and 9th November where over 300 riders are expected to do battle at the spectacular seaside venue. There, Dunlop will offer free technical advice to riders and attendees as well as offer a full tyre fitting service. AMCA members will be able to claim complimentary drinks by presenting their valid license.
“The status as the AMCA’s Official Tyre Partner is a fantastic accolade for us as it is not only a great opportunity for brand exposure”, said Mark Sears, Dunlop’s Motorcycle Product Support Manager, “but being involved with amateur riders will help us as we strive to offer products and services that riders want.”
